Tara Wind Farm is a proposed Vestas wind farm in the Western Downs region of Queensland, near the township of Tara.
The Project is expected to deliver the following local and statewide benefits.

Contributing more than $1 million per year through a local Community Benefit Fund

Generating up to 1.2 gigawatts of clean, affordable, renewable energy capacity

Creating up to 400 jobs during construction and up to 40 long-term jobs

Powering up to 559,000 homes with low-cost energy

$3 billion into the Western Downs region -
Reducing up to 2.2 million tonnes of CO2 emissions
